“Would you sell your Soul?”
(Paperback)
Arc reader review:This novel is a delight to read, it is a mix of fantasy, comedy & romance all in one.I was hooked & invested in the storyline & characters that were building from the very beginning & can’t wait for it to be published so I can buy & read an actual printed copy as once I’d started I could t put it down! Morgan is from a powerful magical family but has no magic herself. She works at a crazy startup company in a junior position. After a series of unfortunate events Morgan meets a stranded demon called Lucareoth aka Luke.Luke is now stuck on Earth until he convinces someone to sell their soul & Morgan decides she’s the one to help him.Together they have to navigate moral issues of taking someone’s soul with a mix of comedy & a slow-burn romance thrown in.

“Fantastic”
(Paperback)
Thank you very much for the ARC! What a wonderful read!
The characters were delightful, and the core message of moral dilemmas and good vs evil choices is very reliatable. Plus, who among us works in an office and doesn't consider it hell?!
Very humorous approach, I liked the language flow, and, if anything, it cheared me up on a bad office day! I'll be sure to grab a physical copy for my collection, as I've highlighted quite a few bits that I will love to revisit.

“Loved this!”
(Paperback)
I love that this is set in the same world as The Grimoire Grammar School Parent Teacher Association. Not that you need to read that first, it was just fun to have a little blurb mention of a certain accountant that can handle turning inconvenient gold bars into mundane accounts.
Working at a tech startup tends to be stressful, not knowing if it might go under at any time, or be one of those rare unicorns and skyrocket everyone into their wildest dreams. So it makes sense to compare it to the infernal plane. And it might seem quite reasonable to summon a demon to meet your quarterly quota. Queue the chaos, hilarity, cozy bits, and of course saving the world from having their souls sold unknowingly when signing terms and conditions (darn that tiny print!). Good thing Morgan happens to drop by (even if it means tons of extra work with no additional pay) and that it was Lucareoth who was summoned! I really enjoyed their capers, slight wishes to make life easier while trying to find souls to pay their debt (and meet quotas! Amazing how demons work life is so similar to cubicle life!) plus important life lessons about it being okay to want something a bit better, but also how little things from people you care about can make happiness too.
I had a lot of fun reading this. Caitlin Rozakis does a great job in creating stories with lightness (even demons have a good side, at least Luke does!), coziness, a nice blend of humor with a bit of world danger to fix at the last minute, and a sweet romance to top it off. I am very glad I got the chance to read this and many thanks go to NetGalley and Titan Books for giving me the chance to enjoy another fun book by Caitlin Rozakis!
“Caitlin Rozakis gets it!”
(Paperback)
Thank you to NetGalley and Titan Books for the ARC!
Caitlin Rozakis gets it! This is what cosy fantasy is about! This book is exactly what I hoped it would be: a quirky, competent genre satire of modern office culture under capitalism. Personally, I didn’t particularly feel whacked over the head by the jargon, because our main characters are frequently just as bemused by it as the reader, and our lack of understanding actually underscores the sheer absurdity of corporate culture. I loooooved Morgan and Luke as characters (and Gisele, too!), and the romance between the main couple felt genuine and earned. First kiss scenes that made me do a fist pump! Gave me the warm gooeys! The final third did somehow feel both a bit stolid AND convoluted compared to the prior two acts, and the ending somewhat rushed, but I still had a good time! Just a nice, funny book!

“Really Enjoyable.”
(Paperback)
A really fun read, this is the second book in the Everyday Enchantments and I’m impressed by the sheer level of imagination. It’s so refreshing to have unexpected magic in real world situations and extremely funny.
The fact that the whole concept of tech bros trading in intangible assets was fascinating, and it shines so much truth on what’s wrong with the world.
I loved the characters, even those that I know would irritate the hell out of me irl. The relationships that Morgan formed were testament to her character even when temptation was calling.
