Reviews: Stargirl (5)
“Stargirl”
(Paperback)
This book gives a genuine insight on being a different individual and following your own star. 'Stargirl' is based on the sense of individualism. Stargirl championed the right to be herself, and at the same time daring to be different. An extremely meaningful read for all.
“A True Classic”
(Paperback)
This is a book that deserves to be read by all, no matter what their age. Although teenagers would love it, there are many deeper parts that will mean more to adults. It's full of life enhancing quotes and life lessons that have a deep impact. Perfect for anyone that was slightly 'different' growing up.
“Wonderful!”
(Paperback)
Amazing. Wonderful. Strange.
The three words to describe this book. Definitely worth the read and I will never regret the time I spent reading this.
“Wonderful”
(Paperback)
Stargirl is unlike any other book I've read. It challenges the reader to think about who we are - are we true to ourselves or do we try to conform to how we think others want us to be? And does being the way everyone wants us to be a good thing? Will that make them like us? Will that make us happy? Stargirl gives us many questions to ask ourselves, and whilst this book is in some ways deep and philosophical, it is also fun, inspiring, and profoundly beautiful. I know I will read this book many, many times and hopefully one day I will be able to live my life the way Stargirl does - my way.
