“A refreshingly modern twist on student food”
(Paperback)
What do you think of when you think 'student food'?
Probably 'kebabs, pizzas and burgers or a cheeky spag bol ready meal. Maybe last night's curry for breakfast? Why? Because many young people simply do not have enough kitchen experience, and see this lack of experience as a huge barrier as they are exposed to the world of independent living for the first time. But what can you expect? They've been cooked for almost every day of their lives up to now.
Ben Ebrell and his crew challenge the view that student cooking always will consist of baked beans and scrambled eggs; the wide range of recipes - all extremely creative - means that there is something for everyone; whether a complete beginner, or with a reasonable understanding of food, 'Sorted' will guide you through, with its accessible and easy to follow recipes. Using (and teaching) a wide range of skills, recipes are impressive in their own way, with some being quick and easy, and others being more challenging and time consuming. There is an injection of fun in every recipe, making it attractive for students and non students alike. 'Sorted' contains sections such as 'hangover cures' and 'meals to impress'.
But 'Sorted' doesn't stop there. Being written by students, for students, there is sound advice on uni preparation, moving in, socialising and day to day uni life.
A must for students and beginner cooks - inspiring.
“Im definitely SORTED!!!”
