A lovely continuation to the Chronicles of Ixia books. With the vast array of characters I would advise reading all of the 'Study' and 'Glass' series by Maria if you want to appriciate the story to the fullest- as the characters introduced in these play prominent parts. Saying that my new favourite character refered to as 'Little Miss Assasin' provides a great contribution especially in the exchanges between her and Janco. Personally I loved the focus on Valek's past; the inclusion of more information on Ixia's past and the previous king is a great addition to the world building and helps to explain why Ixia has developed the society it has. Overall this was a fine continuation to the series, and I feel fans of the 'Study' series will certainly enjoy this. However the multiple POV with the chapters switching between characters may be an issue for some people.
