Reviews: Self Help (3)
“A guide to ourselves . . .”
(Paperback)
A readable and comprehensive guide to lucid dreaming for both the initiated and uninitiated lucid dreamer. Simply put, the lucid dreamer is a deity in the dream and the sky of our desires, personal and spiritual goals is the limit; but like all deities, there are ethics and responsibilities in this world, a responsibility to your innermost and authentic self. We can only hope that in today's world of would-be human deities, all will read this book and gain the insight that ultimate power (such as lucid dreaming offers) is subservient to the humble self and the common humanity that is in us all.
“The best out there”
(Paperback)
This is the finest book I have read on the subject. The author is clearly knowledgeable. However, the author remain accessible throughout the book. He writes with humility. He is able to clearly convey his ideas without overwhelming you with hubris. In my opinion this stands in stark contrast to many other authors who have written on the subject. Also, the author writes without bias while at the same time conveying a deep sense of passion for the subject. In my opinion, this should be the FIRST book you read on the subject.
“Great book! Really great information on advanced techniques and ...”
(Paperback)
I thought about giving this one a four star review, but then I realized that it rated a five. I would have liked to see the orientation of the approach to this subject matter be that of shamanism rather than psychology, as I believe that the newbie practitioner would have found it easier to implement. That being said, the book is clear and gives excellent exercises for achieving Lucid Dreaming for the reader.
