“Absolutely brilliant”
(Hardback)
by V Edgington
I loved this book and was engrossed from the very first page. The novel sharply evokes a shadowy world of characters who can be heartlessly expedient and whose etiquette and mores often seem in opposition to one another. Kingsmill Moore paints a vivid portrait of life on the trading floor and there are many humorous reflections on the City, set against a backdrop of shady wine bars and high stake financial institutions. There’s also a good mix of verbal jousting and exciting action scenes thanks to Seb’s military background. The book has great character development and I found myself deeply caring about Seb, his mother and his love interest Sophia. Kingsmill Moore explores the complexities of love, friendship and the lengths people are willing to go to protect the ones they care about. As with all the best thrillers, things are never quite as they seem and there are plenty of twists and turns. Kingsmill Moore handles the subtleties of the plot brilliantly and I was constantly on the edge of my seat as the fear grew of Seb being uncovered. The stakes build with each chapter, and the writing becomes more intriguing with so many twists and turns. This novel is sensationally good. I recommend it highly to anyone who enjoys a thriller and a good page turner.
“A most enjoyable read with plenty of twists and turns”

Selection proved to be a most enjoyable read. Fantastic characters and a style that drew you into them all with a mix of emotions as the story developed. I was able to visualise many of the locations and picture the scenes jumping off the page due to the writing and style of the author that really drew me into the book. It moves quickly and moves you one way and then another and makes you want to keep going to know what direction it will head next. Plenty of twists and turns with a style that really helped me picture the whole story and bought it alive. I hope you enjoy as much as me as a great summer holiday read!
“Fast paced, great characters, brilliant storylines”

This is a page turner from beginning to end. Great characters, deeply engaging storylines, and a brilliant ending combine to make this book unputdownable. With a debut novel this strong, I can't wait to see what adventures will follow for Seb Faber.
“Great page turner”

This is a fast paced novel that takes the reader on a roller coaster of emotions from start to finish. The main character is flawed, but eminently likeable and I only hope we get to see what happens to Seb next.

Thoroughly enjoyable novel. Well written with likeable and relatable characters. It has laughter, tears, intrigue and a heck of a twist that I definitely did not see coming! Fabulous work, Sir!! Bravo.
