Reviews: Russian Roulette (6)
“Yay more Yassen Gregorovich!”
(Hardback)
The perfect addition to the series for any new or old fan of the Alex Rider series. Horowitz has taken readers back to the beginning of master assassin Yassen Gregorovich, where he came from and how he became the silent killer that haunts the Rider Family. I couldn't put this down and I'm once again looking forward to the next book in Alex's series.
“Villian or Hero?”
(Hardback)
Once again Anthony Horowitz has written a fantastic and gripping story that will not disappoint.
My son snatched this from me and read it in three days. On an eight hour car journey from Scotland he did not put the book down (except for a stop for lunch of course), he was so engrossed.
What more can a reader ask from a book.
“An amazing peice art”
(Hardback)
This book is amazing I was hooked in to this book and I didn't even twich before I finished it. I must recoment to any one even people who don't read a book very often.
“Russian Roulette”
(Hardback)
Russian Roulette is Yassen Gregorovich's moment in the spotlight. Despite playing an integral role in Alex Rider's life and career as a reluctant spy, as a top notch international assassin Gregorovich has remained largely a man of mystery. While clues as to his past and his relationship with the Rider family have been found throughout the series, it is in Russian Roulette that Anthony Horowitz finally pieces everything together for curious readers. Beginning with Gregorovich receiving the order to kill Alex Rider, the book then turns back time to his youth and lets him narrate how he went from regular kid to notorious killer. Russian Roulette is a thrilling, action-packed journey through the life of Yassen Gregorovitch and is a really exciting read. There's plenty of danger, escapades and explosions but there's also considerable soul-searching and some much anticipated answers to questions about Gregorovitch's motivation.
“Yassen Grigorovitch's story.”
(Hardback)
This story is a prequel to the Alex Rider series and explains how Yassen Grigorovitch comes to be dispatched by Scorpia , with the order to assassinate Alex Rider in Stormbreaker. Like all of this series, the action moves quickly and the story of Yassen's early life explains the man he becomes. This story will be eagerly sought by everyone who loves the Alex Rider series, both those who are discovering the series now and those who grew up with it from the publication of Stormbreaker in 2000.
