“Run”
(Paperback)
Very good thriller building to an exciting climax. The pace was good. There's a lot of information to take in and you wonder why you need all of this, but then suddenly everything starts to draw together. Anticipation increases with each chapter and you start to realise how the characters in the book could be connected. Terrorism is a subject that everyone is aware of which brings to life the story of covert government operations and how ordinary people could become embroiled in matters through no fault of their own. Although you don't want Ben to get hurt, you also come to realise at some point that you don't want Pilgrim hurt either. Both have pasts they are trying to get away from and their own reasons for being there. The building of their relationship is the backbone of the story. Well worth the read and would definitely want to look at other books by this author.
“Run”
(Paperback)
This book is a cracking read, one those that you can't wait to finish but you are disappointed when you have.It is a contemporary thriller set in the shadowy world of quasi parts of intelligence agencies, which are not admitted to by their more public persona.Into this world an innocent or not so innocent person, depending on your point of view, becomes involved through having his identity compromised by one of the main characters in the book. What follows is his attempt to try to find out who has used his identity and why, this leads to a partnership being forged to hunt down the bad guys. It is a fast paced book and without giving anything away the conclusion to the book is perhaps is not what is normally expected.I will definitely be looking out for other books by this author.
