I found out about this book when I chanced upon the video trailer for it on Youtube. The trailer is brilliant and as soon as I saw it I pre-ordered the book. Rollover is a gem of a thriller. It’s about a guy who is murdered after scooping an £18m lottery jackpot. His business partner stumbles across the body and ends up going on the run from the killer and the police. There’s a novel twist in the plot involving the protagonist’s family and the tension is unbearable from start to finish. The story is set mostly in the ancient New Forest, which sprawls across much of southern England. It also introduces a new detective – DCI Jeff Temple, who heads up Hampshire’s Major Crime Department. If you like a thriller with plenty of pace, action and surprises then I highly recommend Rollover. Raven has another book coming out in September from the same publisher, Robert Hale, and I can’t wait to read it.

I really enjoyed this book by James Raven. It’s a real page-turner with characters you can relate to. The book’s cover helps to make it stand out. It’s so distinctive and scary. Rollover gets a top score from me. Roll on Raven’s next book.

This is a gripping book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The action is non-stop and the plot (involving a massive lottery win) is a real humdinger. I can't recommend it highly enough.
