“Everything you want in a romantasy ”
(Hardback)
I read this book when it was indie, and I loved it even more this time around. The worldbuilding is so so good, we get so much information without it being exposition-y and it's definitely left me excited and wanting more. The war-training setting was great, especially with the added 'special forces' element.
Fia is everything I want in an FMC, she's sassy and brave, but by no means perfect. I love her character development too, she goes from a secretive and hiding, to really taking ownership of her powers and I love to see it. Laryk is also fantastic - I loved the tension and chemistry between them, it was so much more than I remembered.
I am so, so glad that I've previously read Dskbound, because that cliffhanger was diabolical (in the best kind of way!). I absolutely adore everything the authors have created with this world, and I can't wait to read (and reread) more.
“A must read for fans of Fourth Wing and A Court of Thorns & Roses”
(Hardback)
Ooh this is gooood! A debut from two brilliant Authors Bree Grenwich and Parker Lennox. It's got rebellion, realms, wars, desire, yearning, magic along with great characters and storyline. The only problem with this book is that its keeps you wanting more so I cant wait to read the sequel Duskbound as soon as its published in July 2026. I'm so pleased to get the opportunity to read and review this e-book and enter the beginning of the Esprithean Trilogy from #Netgalley #Riftborne. Publish Date 23rd April 2026

“The perfect romantasy read!”
(Hardback)
This book had me hooked from the very beginning. Really fascinating world-building and society that has me so interested to learn more. The romance was incredible, the magic system amazing and I simply could not put it down. Would highly recommend for those who love a fantasy romance with high stakes, magic, and brutal cliffhangers! Cannot wait for book 2 and to continue this series.
“Beautiful!”

Love the beautiful sprayed edges, packaging was great! Obsessed with this series
“That Plot Twist....”
(Hardback)
Well I was not expecting that ending....I can tell you I am shocked and NEED book 2 ASAP please. Thank you Rih from Penguin for sending me this beautiful proof. You always send me the best books ♥️.
I enjoyed this as the first book to what I think is going to be a trilogy. A very fast paced romantasy filled with magic, beautiful world building and the possibility of an impending war.
It focuses on Fia Riftborne and Laryk Ashford, the outcast who wants to control her power and the General who sees her as asset at first, but then along the way the lines begin to blur between them and their feelings are hard to avoid. I really enjoyed the friends Fia made along the way in this book, and of course her ride or die Osta, who loves her unconditionally. I really hope we get more of these characters in the next book. I also really liked the magic system within the story too, and I am intrigued to see how this develops throughout the series. I am just very excited about it all right now.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and I honestly thought I could of predicted how this story was going to end, then BAM, plot twist and I was left with my jaw on the floor and desperate for more.
