This series continues with further political intrigue. Characters return from the first, and more interesting ones are added to the fray. While short, at less than 300 pages on average, these books cram an awful lot into them. No chapters feel like fillers, the story is in constant motion and you'll be wanting to get to the next book before you even finish the current one. I've been very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the series too, given each title is by a different author. I think this method of serialisation for lack of a better term has kept the storytelling quite fresh. I highly recommend getting stuck in for any 40k and 30k fans.
