This is an exceptional reference book for learners ranging from post-beginners to advanced levels. Based on her accumulative teaching experience firsthand, the author collected the frequently asked questions and common errors by learners, and illuminated the subtle differences between synonyms in a systematic manner – aimed to help learners communicate effectively in Mandarin Chinese. I am an experienced Chinese teacher working in the Higher Education in the UK and if asked for a well-written, lucid reference book, I would definitely recommend this one.
