“Shakespeare knows how to decieve ”
(Paperback)
by Zareena Hamill in Cambridge
I made the decision to study this at university so my review may not be the same as those who've been introduced to it at A-level or secondary school. If Shakespeare understands villains, than Othello is the seed of evil. Paranoia, domestic violence and murder warnings apply. The hero Othello is not so heroic, his friends not so friendly - lying behind eachothers backs. Many a character like Iago or Othello can claim to be a 'victim' of jealousy. Ultimately, this read will make you see vices differently. Good and evil aren't so separated and that is how Shakespeare's tradegy pictures deception in an ambiguous state of distrust.
“A powerful classic made wonderfully accessible”
(Paperback)
by Zoe James-Williams
Barrington Stoke has done a fantastic job with this Super-Readable edition of *Othello*. It retains the power, drama and emotion of Shakespeare's original while presenting it in a format that feels much more approachable. Jealousy, manipulation and betrayal lie at the heart of this timeless tragedy, and it's remarkable how relevant these themes still feel today. The dyslexia-friendly layout makes it easier to enjoy the story without losing the beauty and rhythm of Shakespeare's language. Whether you're studying *Othello*, reading Shakespeare for the first time, or simply revisiting a classic, this is an excellent edition. A brilliant way to discover one of Shakespeare's greatest tragedies. format!- Shakespeare Free P$P
