“What a ride!!”
(Hardback)
Well ... that was a ride and a half!
Abi and Ben have cut their weekend away short and a returning home in dense fog when they take a wrong turn. A man appears out of the fog but Abi doesn't want to stop so drive on. Further up the road, a woman with a baby car seat stands next to a car with its hazard lights on ... should they stop? Would you?
Of course they do but in doing so, they set into motion a nightmare that you would never see coming.
This book is non-stop, yes it's a bit OTT but it's absolutely riveting and I raced through it desperate to see how it would all work out and I wasn't disappointed. With great characters, a fast pace, full of suspense and tension and some great twists, this is a book that I found difficult to stop reading.
Many thanks to the author, Pan Macmillan, Macmillan and NetGalley for enabling me to read and share my thoughts of this riveting read.
“Full speed read”
(Hardback)
I thought that a book based mostly in a car wouldn't capture my attention, but how wrong I was, this is a suspenseful psychological thriller that delivers from the off at full breakneck speed.Never have I read a book where each chapter has left me wanting more because the tension was so high I just wanted to know what was happening and why.Its always exciting whenever you find a new author who's books, you can't put down and after this high speed read this is an author that's going my go to list in the future.

“Edge of your seat read!”
(Paperback)
Some say ,"no good turn goes unpunished" & this was certainly true for Abi & Ben! Having been forced to cut short their break in Cornwall so Ben can go in to work they set off for Bristol in thick fog. Abi is far from happy. They had looked up a route that would save time but have missed the turning. When a man appears out of the fog she nearly runs him down but narrowly misses him. Ben wants to stop, she doesn't but a mile or two down the road they spot a car with the bonnet up & a woman standing with a baby car seat beside it. This time they do stop. The man from up the road catches up & explains they need to get down the road to get help. They pile into the car & the nightmare begins.
Having most of a story taking place in a car in the fog isn't what you expect to be an action packed story but this one definitely is. OK at times it does stretch believability but by that time I was so totally engaged I didn't care! I read far into the night. Thanks to Netgalley & the publisher for letting me read & review this book.

Ewan's mastery of suspense ensures that 'One Wrong Turn' is a gripping read from start to finish, leaving you breathless and eager for more. A solid five-star rating for this electrifying 'up all night' thriller!
“Tense and full of twists”
(Hardback)
Wow, I am breathless after reading this rollercoaster of a ride. A brilliant read that I thoroughly recommend with believable characters that enhance the story. An eerie and foreboding atmosphere sets the tone as Ben and Abi begin a dangerous car journey in thick fog. Already tense from an earlier argument Abi misses her turning and after stopping to help someone who has broken down, their nightmare really begins. Page after page of tension and increasing fear, this book absolutely delivers as a psychological thriller that you will not be able to put down. With some huge twists that shock to the core and totally change your thinking it is an absolute cracker of a read.
