What a brilliant, heartwarming and beautiful story. I loved this book so much! It did take me a while to get into it as it’s written in 3rd person and I kept getting a bit confused at the beginning. That did not stop me from loving every single character and the plot of the story. I stayed up till 3am finishing this book and I went through so many emotions! Tears were involved. The story flowed so well and the blend of coming of age and ‘sci-fi ’ was brilliant. In this book, friends are your family and I wish there was more books that show you don’t have to be blood related to be family. It was such a heartwarming, funny and romantic story that I need everyone to read so we can all fangirl over it!

4.5/5⭐ One last stop is funny, heartwarming, and has an out of this world romance. Full of heart, found family, and pure magic! When August moves to NYC for school, she is just coping day-to-day, but her new housemates, and a girl she just can't stop running into on the subway soon consume her days, and give her a sense of belonging! I think I fell in love with every single character in this book. The friendships are just brilliant. This book has everything: time glitches, mystery, romance, friendship, physics, fun, pancakes, and drag queens!!! Utterly fabulous. One last stop is a wonderful, diverse, NA Contemporary. I loved all the LGBTQ+ representation, I expecially loved that the main character August, was bi. I feel like good bisexual representation, is always lacking in books. You need to pick up this book! Such an amazing premise from Casey McQuiston and the way they go about it never ceases to amaze me. After reading Red, White and Royal Blue, this was one of my most anticipated reads of 2021, and once again, I have fallen in love with every single one of the characters in this story. I can’t WAIT to see what Casey does next

“And so, in her first month in the apartment on the corner of Flatbush and Parkside above the Popeyes, August learns that the Q is a time, a place, and a person.” I’m sitting here rereading my favorite moments and lines from One Last Stop in an effort to start this review and instead just crying my eyes out. Casey is a master in writing queer romcoms but this book also makes me so emotional over every character and relationship. One Last Stop is a romance, humor, mystery, magical realism and coming of age story all rolled into one. And it made me have a book hangover because of how good it was!

The best book I read in 2021, a fabulous story of romance, hardships and found family.
