A BRILLIANT read and then when i set it down i realised that this was about true events, true people and true brutality i re-read this book and found my emotions going through the mill from laughing to pure anger at mans inhumanity to man of incredulity that one man endured all these hardships thrown at him and not only came out the other end but was prepared to put down in his words how it felt makes me kind of glad of my lot in life. I repeat a BRILLIANT read

A fabulous piece of writing, I dont often have the time to read a book cover to cover, this one I had to make the time for, I had it read in 12 hours. Only question now is who plays Millar in the movie!

On The Brinks bring the reader into the biggest robbery in US history (at the time). From the first page to the last, the pace is relentless. Each chapter in the book is a marvel, a practical book within a book, putting most modern day thrillers to shame and to bed. The book has won numerous awards - and rightly so - with Warner Brothers buying the film right to it. Tom praise the book makes one marshall the old army of clichés: unputdownable; a classic; a delightfully dark page turner. Take your choice. They are there, but how it delivers!

The best book I have read in years, it is written really well! An absolutely fascinating true story from start to finish. 454 pages in total. It is broken up superbly with each of the 64 chapters making it flow really well. The gripping story gets more and more interesting as you read through it. I look forward to the movie ! it's got Scorsese all over it.... I hope !

Best book I've read during lockdown, I couldn't put it down ! I could really sink deep into Sam's life, a rollarcoster of emotions... What an extraordinary life!
