Reviews: Nutmeg and Custard (3)
“Nutmeg and Custard”
(Hardback)
I don’t actually like nutmeg or custard but I loved this book! With every page I turned I saw something that made me want to rush and check my kitchen for the ingredients so that I could make it straight away, but I couldn’t bring myself to put the book down until I’d read it cover to cover! Only then could I afford the luxury of choosing at leisure. I tried several recipes from the book during the first weekend I had it and now I’m longing for the autumn to come so that I can try out the venison loin with spiced braised pears and chestnuts – very seasonal. Thoroughly recommend the smoky pulled pork butties and the Turkish delight cheesecake…mmmmmmm…
