This is so worth reading to give an insight on the world as it is now . Orwell is a man of creative and truthful wonder

Stunning, very disturbing novel about the State with too much power over the individual. Written as science fiction in the 1940's. Widely viewed as a prescient warning for the present day.

1984 is a book I have always wanted to read but have never gotten around to. The world in 1984 is a terrifying place, and looking at the world around us, I found myself with a sick feeling of what was happening to these characters. Like Winston and Julia, I found myself hoping that they would escape. That they would live and love freely. That there was a rebellion. But O'brien helps bring an end to that and he was written in such a way that had me terrified. I felt every emotion reading this book and while I felt so horrified and defeated with the ending, I was consumed with this adrenaline rush of urgency of feeling like I just had to do something! I don't remember the last time a book made me feel like that. And with seeing now our real world is shaping out currently - books like George Orwell's 1984 feel even more important to read now more than ever.

1984 is honestly one of the best books I have ever read! It really changed my view of the world and is a book I feel everybody should read at least once in their life. I highly recommend it to everyone!

This book began my love for reading and now I have read it about 10 times- its an absolute must read for any book lover and this edition is wonderfully suited and durable.
