“Newton's Fire”

This has to be the best book of 2012! Will Adams improves with each book he writes and this book is the proof of that! As can be expected from this author, the plot combines intelligent writing with the thrills of a rollercoaster making this book into a real page turner. The twists and turns are not telegraphed and I failed to see the major surprise, which is unusual for me. The plotlines surrounding the Dome of the Rock and the Newton papers meld together seamlessly, helped along by both the evil characters and the good, as well as the clever use of humour! To me the book felt both light and airy but still retained the menace you'd expect, making it a book I didn't want to put down. I have already reccomended this book to all of my friends, when a book is this good you just have to share it with everyone!
“Quick and enjoyable read”

This is an enjoyable book in the style of Da Vinci Code, but with better writing. A few twists add interest to a slightly predictable plot. I would recommend this to someone looking for a quick and undemanding read.
“Lots of plot and little else”

Luke Hayward has been employed to search for some of Newton's missing papers. When he unexpectedly finds what he's looking for in the attic of an elderly lady's house he thinks his job is over, but soon he is being pursued by a ruthless gang, determined to get hold of the papers for nefarious purposes. This book definitely falls into the "page-turner" category as it seemed to me to be composed almost entirely of plot with only an infinitesimal amount of characterisation. It's very filmic as it moves from one action set piece to the next, including car chases, shoot outs and pursuits on foot. The writing style is often clunky and some of the diaglogue is ridiculous with a tendency to tell not show. I felt that the female characters were less successfully drawn than the male protagonists, which is saying something as even the male characters are largely two dimensional. However, if you're looking for something quick and easy to read that won't make many demands on you, then this is likely to fit the bill. For those who like Dan Brown.
