“Beautifully curated recipes that feed your soul”
(Hardback)
by Diego77smithy
A beautiful book inside and out, from the beautifully embossed cover to Asma Khans stories told throughout her easy to follow recipes . This book is not just a cookbook but a great read too as Asmas word come to life as you read and recreate her recipes. I've been confident enough to cook a few recipes at a time from this book without getting stressed. For me personally, the whole cookbook, reminded me of when I was a child living in London. Our indian neighbours became great friends with my parents and myself and brother and sister used to always be in and out of theirs , the smells and flavours were always amazing. Watching and remembering them cook from scratch and instinct and never a cookbook in sight. Proper Indian food isn't about spice and heat , it's about flavour . Asma mentioned a few times about Indian dishes being adapted from British cuisine. Her words about feeding the soul are just what these dishes have done to me, they've evoked memories and made me smile. This really is more than just a cookbook.I felt that from the moment I started flicked through the pages and reading , then I cooked and Asmas words really did feel like they came to life Asma Khans words and stories throughout the book really do feed your soul

A beautifully written book, with perfect imagery and brilliant recipes (which you can actually recreate at home).
“More than a cookbook.”

This is probably the prettiest cookbook I've ever had. The pictures are beautiful and Asma Khan writes with so much love it feels more than a recipe book, I thoroughly enjoyed reading through the book before starting the cooking. I've already made 3 of the recipes and have a whole load of pages folded over to make the next..... Highly recommend this book for beginners and experts alike.

What truly sets this book apart is Asma’s storytelling. She beautifully weaves personal anecdotes and cultural insights into every page, making it much more than just a cookbook. The vibrant photographs of the dishes, paired with heartfelt narratives, allow readers to experience the true essence of Indian cooking and culture.

Beautiful book, vibrant, colourful and so easy to follow. Never tried cooking any Indian cuisine before, so was a little worried to try, but amazing instructions, easy to follow and tasted amazing! Highly recommended.
