In the story the monkey was trying to find his mum because he had lost her. This story is similar to the Smartest Giant in Town because it rhymes. Reviewed by a child in Bedfordshire.

Great book, my little boy loves it. We are avid readers at home and this is one of his favorites. The colourful illustrations are fantastic and the rhyming text is absolutely brilliant for little ones to follow up. Well recommended !

My three year old daughter loves books, and has done since she was a tiny baby, so my husband and I are always keen to find new ones to keep her interested! Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler are Lorelei's favourite authors - and Monkey Puzzle lived up to their fantastic reputation. The story of a young monkey lost in the jungle, who is trying to find his mom. A well-meaning but slightly confused butterfly tries to help, which takes the monkey to find all different types of animals that could be his mom. The easy to read format of the rhyming text is lovely for both parents and children to read - and the colourful pictures are fantastic for getting your child to think about what is going on in the story. We have had this book for about a year now, and it still comes out on a regular basis, and is a firm favourite of my daughter. I would recommend this book for anyone who is looking for a lively and fun read with their young children!

I think i love this book more than my grandson. It's a great read, our little one loves to join in 'no, no, no!' and it doesnt matter how many times we read it he never get bored of it.

So heart warming- perfect to read with my bubba!
