Reviews: Miss You (8)
“A Lovely Romance”
(Paperback)
by Ella Holt
This was a really nice romance novel about real people. It was a bit predictable but in a nice way like watching your favourite film. My only complaint was that the ending was rushed and a little forced.
“Contemporary take on what could have been a cliched romance ”
(Paperback)
by Madeleine Philpott
I'm rarely one to read a romantic novel. I find them to be cliched, over romanticised and often unobtainable. However Miss You, is a beautiful story of two young adults and their journey into adulthood and love with realistic challenges that many have or will face. Commencing with a beautiful back drop of Italy what could really go wrong. Tess and Gus will humour and move you. You'll enjoy their individual journeys as well as their collective. Two strong characters who are just waiting for the right moment to walk into one anthers lives, touching them from the moment it all began. I couldn't put this book down, contemporary romance at it's best. Equal parts angst and romance without leaving you gagging into a bowl. Highly recommend to those who love JoJo Moyes or David Nicholls! The most perfect debut novel and I will be keeping my eyes peeled for Eberlen's next book!
“Gloriously romantic love story...”
(Hardback)
by Emine at Bromley
Tess and Guy's fate is sealed when they first meet in Florance aged 18. Over the years , they pass each other by without really seeing one another. Separated by the hands of fate, we follow a " will they, won't they " if they ever really meet again and fall in love with each other. This is a very enjoyable book with humour making me laugh aloud , but with enough drama to make me care about them. Overall it makes this novel a very interesting read about what fate and life has planned for us, how our lives change when we least expect it. This wonderfully romantic book will be your number one summer read. Enjoy....
