Laura Bates does an excellent job of explaining how little (or not so little) things add up in a way that everyone, regardless of their age, sex or viewpoint can understand. The witty humour avoids the book becoming too heavy and depressing without sacrificing an ounce of seriousness, letting you come away from this book feeling motivated to change the world, rather than being overwhelmed about the huge amount of sexism which still exists in a world that claims to be so progressive. An excellent choice for anyone who is already invested in feminism, or for someone who is looking to experiment with the subject for the first time.
