Funny, adorable, heart-warming, written with wit and beautifully illustrated, this light-hearted adventured of Mini Rabbit has the capacity to startle on every page. I've read this numerous times and find something new every time. Tender and endearing, with some mild danger on offer, packed with adventure and a surprise twist at the end, the Odyssey of Mini Rabbit has a lot to teach us: sometimes, the journey is more important than the destination, and we should be wary of running-off, head-strong, searching for what we think we want, lest we actually find it.

Mini Rabbit and Mother Rabbit are making a cake, but they’ve run out of berries, so Mini Rabbit sets off on an epic (and entirely unnecessary) journey to find some. I chose this to read after we’d made a birthday cake over a week ago and we have been reading it almost non stop ever since! My little one loves pointing out all the berries hidden in the illustrations (his dad and I having thoroughly enjoyed spotting them all too!) and is, of course, especially excited to point out the bird doing the berry poo! He also really likes showing us the big berry on the cake in one of the final spreads and joining in with a loud, amused “nooooo!” for the twist at the end! The illustrations feel really unique and appealing, with the hidden berries and other little details to spot adding an extra layer of interest. Great fun to read aloud and very funny, we’re looking forward to Mini Rabbit Must Help!

This was the perfect "in lieu of a postcard" for my 3-yr old almost granddaughter. When I was one of the books we re-read together and it really captures her undaunted, adventurous attitude to life (and falling down the stairs!).

A cute and funny story about a little rabbit who wants cake! Mini Rabbit is baking with mum when they realise they need berries to complete the cake. Unfortunately, Mini Rabbit does not hear mum before he sets off and his perilous adventure and finds himself lost! Will he get home and most importantly (to Mini Rabbit) will he find berries for cake? I loved the quirky illustrations and colour palette of this picture book which gave it a very distinct style that will set it apart from other books. The story is quite cute and funny and will entertain for many reads; who can’t sympathise with a main character who wants cake? Great fun and I will be looking for more books by John Bond in the future.

The art is super cute, I absolutely loved that. Specially the designs and colours. The story is also very cute and hey, who does not like cake and will go far and beyond to get some berries to put on top. However, if you don't listen to your mum, things can get off hand. Also, loved that ending.
