The story and illustrations in this book are just beautiful. I'm sure it will become a much loved children's classic.

This is the first of Stephen Mackay's beautiful picture books. The illustrations are breathtaking and the story enchanting. A wonderful gift for all occasions

I bought the story as we were going to see a production of it using puppetry (which was amazing at bringing this lovely story alive). It's a sweet book for children, perfectly suited for curling up and reading with them during the cold winter months.
