The premise of the book was so interesting and I am a sucker for psychological thrillers so this was right up my alley. Saffy receives three text messages from her best friend that say "can't talk", "don't text or call" and "please just come". But just as she reads them, another notification pops up that says "message deleted". And then her best friend goes missing with her husband and little daughter. Any of us would be pretty freaked out if this were to happen to us!

When Saffy receives three messages from her friend, Leona, that quickly disappear - Can’t speak. Don’t text or call. Please just come - she goes to Leona’s house as fast as she can. When she arrives, all is fine, but the next day the entire family is missing, and Saffy was the last to see them alive… This was a gripping, easy to read, fast-paced thriller that had my attention the entire time. It is told from alternate timelines, going back in time to tell things that happened to Saffy and her sister, Poppy, that related to the story. A suspenseful thriller about disjointed relationships and revenge. Told across multiple POVs and timelines which adds to the intrigue. Keeps you guessing how the pieces fit together and drip feeds reveals throughout. A great cast of characters and a fitting ending.

With many thanks to Netgalley for this free arc and I am leaving this unbiased review voluntarily Overloaded with tension and suspense this is a riveting read. I was hooked from the opening chapter as the author took me on an addictive and twisty ride. The chapters were well worked as it went through different timelines which added to the suspense and intrigue. Maybe slightly unbelievable at the end but this was still a cracking read so just go with the flow! 4.5 ⭐️

While attending an interview, Saffy receives a message from her best friend Leona but when she reads it a second time the message has been deleted. She leaves the interview to get to her best friend but when the door is opened Leona says she didn’t send the message and knows nothing about it. Later on two police officers visit Saffy saying that Leona, her husband Ash and daughter Rosie have disappeared and there’s blood in the house and as Saffy was the last person to see them they suspect her of being involved in their disappearance. As the police want to blame an innocent person, Saffy will do whatever it takes to find her best friend and God-daughter. ‘Message Deleted’ is a tense thriller that commences with a deleted message and three missing people and has a thought-provoking plot that’s easy to read and impossible to put down. The story is gripping and grows more tense as it progresses, and together with an abundance of drama, intrigue and suspense I’ve been totally involved and read it in twenty-four hours. I’m slightly disappointed by the number of twists and turns in the final pages that I found slightly confusing and difficult to follow, but nevertheless this is another excellent thriller by one of my favourite authors and I have no hesitation in commending it.
