Marked,the first in the house of night series is a truly captivating read,engaging the reader from the word go. Marked is unputdownable!,a page turner that will keep you from putting it down until you're at the very end. Not only is it a good read but it allows you to go on the journey yourself as if you are part of the story,you see through the main character Zoey's eyes. It will leave you wanting more which you get in the following books, a read that will have you talking with others about each thing that goes on at the House of night. I would recommend this book to all those who enjoy a book that recreates the journey within their mind. This is a story for all ages,from teenagers to adults, an amazing book from two amazing writers.

I can't tell you how fantastic this book is! Wasn't sure about it at first - I read the Twilight saga and I wasn't mad for it. I didn't know if I wanted to read any more by Stephenie Meyer, but my cousin left her copy of The Host with me and, well, it was hard to give it back to her. I had to buy my own and have since read it 3 times straight (That's sad you say? Oh, yes, I know!), and I just can't bring myself to put it away and read something else! The characters and plot are amazingly developed, the story is new and cannot be compared to ANYTHING else and you will connect to Wanda (the main character) on such a level that you will cry when she cries, smile when she smiles and even cringe when she cringes. So happy the book is going to be made into a film and that Stephenie MAY be writing one or two sequels! YAY! A heart wrenching, thought provoking and all-round phenomenal tale! x

I have read all of this series so far (five books) and each is brilliant. If any of you have read the morganville series you'll love these. Marked is fully of witty remarks and humour. Each character and scenario can relate to everyday life. If you haven't bought this book yet do so immediatly ( also urge your friends to buy it too.) (P.s I'm not part of waterstones, trying to sell you into buying this book: it really is good.

The 'House of Night' series it definitely worth reading! I have just finished 'Tempted' and I'm even more in love with the saga than I was before. They are un-put-downable books and if you love the whole vampire, fantasy thing with a bit of romance and typical boyfriend issues thrown in there, you'll enjoy them immensely. Can't wait for the next one!!

I have just finished Marked, and have started Betrayed, the second House of Night novel, and I am addicted! It is brilliantly written, and the protagonist Zoey is a very well thought out and in depth character. I have already ordered the next 3 in the series. I have always been a huge Harry Potter fan, but an anti-twilight person although I have liked the vampire (or vampyre (; ) genre, I always found the character Bella Swan very irritating so I an glad to find a vampire fantasy/romance novel to fall in love with!
