this book was brought for me by a friend, it was a book from the very first page i could not put down , the story of Thomas Mcfadden his Journey from Despised gringo to san pedro's most famous inmate, its a story that is shocking and you really start to feel for Thomas once you get to know him... it's a book i'd recommend to anyone and again ask you to recommend to your friends!!

Thoroughly gripping book, you keep forgetting that this is real life! Unbelievable account of life in a Bolivian prison. Written with such compassion and truth it is a must read. Although violent and revolting at times, it also speaks of true friendship and trust. Best book I have read.
