Reviews: Lucid (2)
“Loved this pager turner!”
(Paperback)
by Sophia El
I don’t normally do reviews but I absolutely loved this book! I was left guessing about the murderer until the end, which meant it was a page turner for me as I tried to figure it out. It wasn’t too grisly though thankfully. I enjoyed learning more about lucid dreaming as well, I’m now determined to try it myself! I found the main characters to be really likeable and I enjoyed their quirks - I loved that Rick always listens to music that starts with the same letter as his food (eg Pink Floyd for pizza)! It was nice to have a bit of romance in the mix as well, Rick and Lisa have great chemistry. I would definitely recommend this book to friends!
“Engaging murder mystery in a unique setting”
(Paperback)
by Carmen Marom
I found this book to be really thought provoking and engaging. A classic genre in a very unique setting. Without giving too much away the author has explored some interesting issues around sexism and harassment which are particularly relevant in this #metoo era. I enjoyed the story and thought it was paced really well. I would definitely be interested to see a sequel if there’s one planned, it feels like there’s more to be explored in Rick’s lucid dreaming world.
