Looking Good Dead is the second in the Roy Grace series and it did not disappoint. I thoroughly enjoyed the first one and this one was just as gripping! I love the multiple perspectives you get from this author, and even though you are following the detective, the victim and the murderers it STILL manages to take you on twists that surprise you! I've read quite a few Roy Grace novels now, and this one was one of the better ones. It was well paced and tense and I was gripped from start to finish. The only thing that I disliked about it was that it's a very early Roy Grace novel, which on the one hand means it is quite fresh, but on the other, the attitudes to race and sexuality really grate against modern sensibilities, even though they aren't condoned, but it feels quite uncomfortable to read!

Another really good story by one of my favourite authors. If it keeps me guessing till the end, it's good - and this one kept me guessing. Recommended.

This is the second of Peter Jame's books that I have read and again I could not put it down. You just have to know what happens next.
