Reviews: Lockdown (3)
“A literary star is born!”
(Paperback)
If you've never read Sean Black's books then you are missing out. Lockdown was a fast exciting thriller which I couldn't put down.
“Keep Going”
(Paperback)
I got very confused at the start of this book - perhaps too many characters being introduced at once. When I got past this problem I enjoyed the story. It gallops along at a fast pace and I found myself turning pages just to see how it would end up. It's never going to exercise your brain - but that's sometimes what you need!
“Quite good”
(Paperback)
Lots of mixed views and opinions on this book from the other reviews. This book and series enter a market very busy with authors generating loyalty to them and their books.
This is not a masterpiece and is never going to finish top of any critics list. But then it was never meant to be or written to be.
This is a fairly pacy thriller introducing Ryan Lock, a personal protection agent who ends up investigating an abduction. It has flaws with some of the execution and a couple of times you have to re-read as a plot point almost passed you by.
But for a poolside read or as an introduction to the series (which does get better), read and enjoy.
