This is a lovely picture book, the illustrations are adorable and the story is uplifting on several levels. Firstly, the literal level, the story actually explains how the sun 'makes clouds disappear', and how big clouds rain to become smaller - it prompted a few science-y questions from my little boy. I like that even though the cloud has a personality, the book is still teaching us a bit about real clouds. On a more figurative level, the story tells a story about someone who comes to terms with not being liked by everyone (and how that is okay) - which is, in my opinion, a really important lesson. Having said all that, the book is also simply a really cute picture book to enjoy, it is not preachy at all. I was kindly send a review copy.

A delightful, charming story. A beautiful, fluffy cloud is happy high in the sky. Everyone loves him and this makes his even more happy and an important little cloud. I love the way she has a personality. She's very clever..Discover what shapes she can create. We often look up at the skies and can see a multitude of remarkable people, animals and all sorts of objects. Fluffy clear white clouds like cotton wool are stupendous. So elegant and intricate. Back to our little cloud. Sadly she becomes an unhappy cloud.Find out how and why. I don't want to spoil your first reading of this gorgeous book. You will love it and never ignore clouds,- whatever their colour, again. ENJOY IT .I KNOW YOU WILL.
