Reviews: LightFall (1)
“Forbidden friendship, an ancient feud, truly spellbinding YA paranormal romance.”
(Paperback)
LightFall is the first instalment of The Origin Prophecy series where we follow Luna and Caleb, two Nephilim students on either side of an ancient divide of Light and Dark where they could never hope to be friends…let alone more.
The story is told from the dual-pov of Luna and Caleb as they both navigate their time at the Serapeum, a school for Light Nephilim. One on a mission to understand herself, the other on a mission to find and release his grandfather.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The pacing was great, the world building and setting was a really nice change from other fantasies I’ve encountered and felt quite immersive. Luna’s character development was a pleasure to read, and I loved seeing the relationship between her and Caleb grow. I picked up book two, DarkRise almost immediately after finishing this.
