Light Box, is a combination of short stories which take place all over the globe from the perspectives of several characters . The resulting book is a strong and powerful compilation of short stories. Each individual story allows you to make a strong connection to the characters relatively quickly. They act as snippets of peoples lives, which can, on occasion leave you wanting more as they are not 'finished' stories but short bursts. The theme of light appears throughout the book in seemingly subtle ways and each character explores an emotional journey. The book is a fantastic read and very easy to pick up and put down, Orr writes beautifully and you really connect with the characters and places which they reside, would have given it 5 stars but some sections leave you questioning what happened and desiring further clarity. Perhaps this was the intention, but at times it frustrated me!
