Reviews: Liar, Liar (1)
“An interesting read with an original premise!”
(Hardback)

This is an excellent crime thriller with an intriguing and unique premise. Didi Storm is a washed up beauty queen and Marilyn Monroe impersonator. Remmi, Didi's daughter, witnesses a woman jumping to her death from a building in San Francisco. She had been dressed as Marilyn Monroe. Remmi is adamant that it was not her mother. To solve this mystery of who it was that jumped and why, cop Dani Settler and Remmi Storm must go back over two decades and discover the deal made in the Nevada desert. This is a pacy and engaging read that draws on a dual timeline to slowly reveal the facts as they are. There are some great twists and a stunning array of dark secrets throughout. I had no idea Lisa Jackson had written more than 85 novels that have been translated into numerous different languages. I should really have known how good it was going to be by the testimonial from Harlan Coben, himself a master of the genre. I will be definitely be reading more from Lisa Jackson. Many thanks to Hodder & Stoughton for an ARC. I was not required to post a review and all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
