Reviews: Lethal Response (1)
“Well worth a read!”
(Paperback)
Well there was no hanging about with this book, straight into it with murder number one and an intriguing scenario of a man seeking revenge after the death of his father.
"Lethal Response" written by Ernest Barrett is a great British crime mystery that has a really well thought out storyline. Plenty of action, I was kept fully entertained throughout the whole story.
1,2,3.....When a single digit is the only clue left at a the sight of three murder victims, police struggle to make the connection and are desperate to stop more murders from happening. When Nathan Brinderling an ex convict, in and out of jail all his life, stumbles upon a victim and later comes into contact with the killer, police find themselves calling on him for assistance.
I liked the characters including the killer who we meet immediately in Chapter One, even sympathising slightly over the situation with his parents - quite an argument for debate actually - but you'll need to read the story to find out why he's out for revenge. Nathan Brinderling is also a strong character who I was rooting for to go straight and leave his criminal life behind after being released from jail.
This is a lovely read, easy to follow and understand and if you like good old fashioned, clean crime thrillers you should enjoy "Lethal Response". I'd happily read more by this author again.
