“Highly Recommended”
(Paperback)
What a book, absolutely loved it. Faith and her brother Sam have had a very unusual childhood, which has left him with poor mental health and addictions . Faith has a wonderful partner Perry who helps her with Sam and his problems but his family are insisting on a big wedding and that Faith wears his mother’s wedding dress ? , the dress that Faith and her best friend Marilyn have a special name for !
The choir which Faith joins , and Hester the choir mistress are brilliant supporting each other.
A story which explores relationships, friendship and support. A feel good read which I would highly recommend.
“A story about the power of community and love”
(Paperback)
A great story from Beth Moran. We begin the story with Faith and her (new) best friend Marilyn. We learn that Faith is marrying the wealthy Perry. His family want a large wedding and for Faith to wear his mother's awful wedding dress. As the story unfolds Faith and Marilyn join a church choir run by the larger than life character Hester. We learn about Faith's horrendous early life and her desire to help her younger brother deal with his mental health and addiction issues. The story unfolds as we learn the power of community and love. A fabulous read and highly recommended. Thanks to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for the ARC.
“Faith and Hope”
(Paperback)
Amazing, brilliantly written masterpiece from Beth Moran. I couldn’t put this down. Had me engrossed from the beginning.
The subject matter was researched extremely well. So believable. A book to make you laugh as well as having some parts of wanting to scream and cry.
Adored the characterisation. I would like many of Faiths friends to be mine. Shows that you should always have hope and faith even during your darkest journey.
Abuse should never be swept under the carpet. There is still a stigma surrounding it, however the victim should not be made to hide it.
Thank you Beth Moran for such a dramatic story.
“A brilliant feel good read.”
(Paperback)
A truly joyful fun read following Faith with all her trials and tribulations in life. A great cast of characters which kept me turning the pages from start to finish. This is a must ‘feel good’ read.
