I didn’t read this book. I inhaled it. I ate it, became it, drowned in it. It is just SO overwhelmingly brilliant. Like nothing I’ve ever read before in form, but the form doesn’t get in the way like it sometimes can. It was like the best fever dream and I finished it in two, wonderful, frantic sittings. I couldn’t recommend it more heartily

It had me in the first page, I both wanted to read it all in one sitting and didn't. It leaves a strange feeling of rightness and sadness. I can't stop thinking about it.

I cannot recommend this book highly enough. I am blown away by Max Porter’s imagination and storytelling; Lanny is mysterious, tender, inventive and it has my heart forever.

This is such a creative, imaginative story, it felt like something of a warm bath - it completely immersed me from beginning to end - definitely recommend!

I really enjoyed this lovely tale. It is beautifully written, and it has remained in my thoughts every day. Please choose to read this gorgeous story and you will not be disappointed.
