This Western comic book features a scantily-clad heroine, Lady Rawhide, a Robin-Hood character who lives for high-risk adventure. She has sympathy for Captain Reyes, the Mexican soldier, who is ordered to apprehend her. It is also about a gang of cowgirl outlaws and the Mexican and US governments’ attempts to arrest them. Their fight against the corrupt Governor leads them all together in a mighty climax. It is well-illustrated and the main character is well-developed: we find out about her allies, both rescued from unhappy fates, as well as where her sympathies lie. In the format in which I read it (on a computer screen), the background text was sometimes hard to read. Somewhat predictable, this collection of the first 5 issues of Lady Rawhide is a good read but nothing exceptional.
