Right from the start I was trapped in the pages of Labyrinth. I read it everywhere and looked for any excuse that would allow me to escape to my book. Both stories (one set in contemporary France, the other in medieval France) were fascinating and Mosse interweaves them well. Why would I recommend it and to whom? I'd say 'Read it' to those who enjoy historical fiction. It's well written, interesting and clever, and when you read it you are transported to the 13th century. I've heard people say that it's like the Da Vinci Code; to be honest, though, the only link between the books is the sang real, and the struggle of the main characters to keep it in the right hands.

I don't usually read this type of book, but when I found I had nothing else to read, this almost jumped off the shelf at me. As soon as I started, i couldn't put it down. I loved it and can't believe how many peoples reviews are putting it down. I'd recommend this book to everyone.

I loved this book!I only just finished it a minute ago, and I felt I had to let others know how amazing it is. You become so connected to the characters, and the way Mosse describes Carcassonne makes you want to be there yourself. Well worth the read, and I'm not a fan of History books myself but I loved it anyway! One of my favourites.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book, was a bit wary of the jumping between two stories to start with but this was well handled and clearly highlighted and added to the overall enjoyment of the book. Obviously well researched with believable characters, locations and events and Mosse has a good grasp of what is believable and how to convey this to the reader. The suspense aspect of the book was handled brilliantly and it was near impossible to guess where the story was heading at any one time, which made a very refreshing change.

This book was brilliant. I could not put it down. Couldn't read another book for ages after.
