A fascinating take on life in the middle ages. Beautifully written, encaptulating, historically accurate...it couldn't be much better! Completely unputdownable. Prepare to be blown away.

Excellent read! I'd not read much historical fiction before this book but I was immediately intrigued by both the history of the south of France and the amazing atmosphere and environment Kate creates. The switching between different time periods keeps the story moving and you're always left in suspense as to what happens with one character while the story moves to the other for the next chapter. You can completely connect with the characters (well, I am a young woman so maybe slightly biased...). Recommended highly. If you enjoy this book - follow it up with "Sepulchre"!

My book of the year, and considering the paperback was only published in January, that says a lot.Gripping from the start, this story swept you along right from the first paragraph as you delve in deeper to discover dark secrets and mysteries of the 3 books destined to be kept apart, and the conections between Alais and Alice 800 years apart.You don't want the story to end, but you do want to find out about the skeletons found in the cave. Who are they, and why are they there? Fantastic, nothing else comes close.

Kate Mosse has produced a beautiful and moving novel with Labyrinth. Not only could I not put this book down, after I finished it I couldn't find a book that even came near to how Labyrinth made me feel. This novel has a unique way of making you conect with both the central protagonists as you watch their lives unfold. I would defenitly recommend Kate Mosse for anyone who enjoys historical fiction.
