Tim Lebbon gives us a very good adaptation of the movie. There's a lot of background filled in, especially surrounding the stranded world war 2 characters. The book is very well written and cracks along. I love the original 1933 kong (the 2005 remake was not for me) so I was looking forward to this film and to reading the book. Having read the book it just adds so much to the film when you watch it, having that background from the book in your head fills in little moments the movie has no time for on screen. Very good.
