“What a treasure of a book”
(Hardback)
I am a ex chef with a cookbook collection numbering over 400 books. And now in my later working life I am able to indulge my love of cookbooks by working for Waterstones.
Twelve Triangle cafe in Edinburgh is a few hundred miles from home, but I truly wish it was just down the road. Emily Cudderford and Rachel Morgan are chefs/cooks after my own heart. They have desire to cook authentically from the heart and provide a space for community in their neighbourhood. Their book is their journey of how through trial and error they slowly perfected the art of baking with sourdough and slowly added more to their little bakery. Their book is full of the many things they cook with their philosophy of using the best local ingredients from great suppliers and working with the seasons. My favourites are Coffee and Cardamon loaf cake, Green Herb and Pistachio Hummus (don't tell the hummus guardians) Apple and Bramble Sponge pudding, Bombay Toastie, Salted Chocolate Babka and Roast Pork Belly with Gochujang and Pineapple. The next best thing to be sitting in their cafe is to be reading this book, with tea, sourdough toast and cultured butter.
“Whether home cook or chef, you’ll love it”
(Hardback)
This is a truly classy cookery book, which will be the envy of cookery writers everywhere. You’ll open a page and want to make it straight away. It serves inspires meals for standard weekdays or dinner parties alike. And the meals are delicious! Definitely one for fans of Anna Jones’s books. A brilliant book with glorious recipes. All the yums.
