Back in the day, I played tennis in high school and college, but now I am going through the process of beooming an accomplished ballet dancer. This book, which I think is very well written, told me how very different individuals succeeded in both physically and mentally taxing goals. Knowing what they did and went through puts my own hard work and dealings with rejections and disappointments in perspective. JOCK-DOCS shows me that nothing can break the human spirit once it is set in motion and the drive is sincere. I also learned how the Olympians described in this book decided to later strive for excellence in the difficult but NON-GLAMOUROUS field of medicine. You should take away a sense of inspiration after going through Dr. Aquitania's own story and his detailed and easy to read biographies of these current Olympian-doctors.
