Reviews: Janapar (2)
“A great cycling book with a difference”
(Paperback)
I'm a big fan of cycling related books and movies and this book is particularly good. I liked the way that for a change cycling is a means to a bigger goal (rather than the main thing) and that the love spoken about is for a real person :-). All in all, I would definitely recommend this to anyone interested in travel literature, romance and just knowing more about what's out there in the world, in particular Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
“Adventure and romance”
(Paperback)
Janapar is not just an adventure story but a journey of a young man searching for the meaning to his life. Tom leaves home on his bike expecting to see the world. He faces challenges - physically, mentally and emotionally on his travels. He encounters wonderful hospitality, cycles challenging terrain and agonises over affairs of the heart. Beautifully written, an engaging read for all - adventure, love and romance rolled into one.
