I have a soft spot for Jake the adorable blue monkey who tries so hard with his spellings! The reader is taken through such fantastic imagery, with laugh-out-loud humour, one can't help but want Jake to succeed and with some great tools (and tips for all!) he gets there in the end. Hooray!! This book is written with passion and readers of all ages are left feeling positive about spelling (and life in general!). I am recommending this book to all!!

Jake is an endearing blue monkey who is the perfect motivational role model for children who find literacy difficult. As a speech and language therapist it has been a very helpful tool in the classroom as well as to recommend to parents as children identify with Jake's struggles and are easily engaged in literacy activities by using him as an example.
