I had never read any of his books prior but had seen tv series of two of them. Really good storyline. Worth reading others.

I read Jackdaws as this year's holiday read - you might recognise that desire to have a truly addictive book to hand to help overcome flight delays and too many hours in economy seating. This is classic Ken Follett with a plausible thriller that had me champing at the bit. Great characters, tremendous excitement and without the disappointing ending that can ruin books of this ilk. I chose this book because I knew what I was going to get - and I loved every minute.

I loved this book and after describing the storyline to my friend she thought she would enjoy it too so I have bought it for her as a present. Truly, a great story and a lovely tribute to the women who bravely made a huge contribution to the ending of the second world war.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Jackdaws, a brilliant story and hard to put it down!
