A brilliant and concise history of Saudi Arabia. If you want to understand what makes this influencial Middle Eastern country tick them this is definately the book for you. Very readable, very informative, I highly recommend this book.

This book gives an interesting, detailed view of the history of Saudi Arabia - how the kingdom was formed, how it became an Islamist Wahabbi state, what life is like inside the Kingdom. It is so well written and fascinating that it is as gripping as any novel I've ever read. I finished it in a day - its un-put-down-able! This is a must-read if you're interested in the Middle East.
