“OMG my brain has just exploded”
(Paperback)
OMG this books will cause your brain to explode! Honestly I have no idea the kind of brain these ideas come from as I spent the whole book with my mouth a gag wondering what could possibly happen next. I can’t even explain this book it’s just nuts but such and exciting read and I couldn’t put it down. I am going to be checking out other books by this author now. I honestly can’t wait for someone to make a tv show or movie based on this book as it’s brilliant.
“Unmissable”
(Paperback)
I rarely give a five star rating but this book was thoroughly deserving. The concept was utterly brilliant, mind blowing and so cleverly constructed. The characters were all beautifully crafted and the themes of the story seamlessly interwoven and unpredictable! Immensely thought provoking, exhilarating dark and captivating (pun intended) from start to finish. Thank you so much.
“Clever thriller”
(Paperback)
This is the first book I have read by Chris McGeorge and it certainly won’t be my last.
This was a full on psychological thriller with so many twists and turns and I had no idea how the book was going to draw to a close. The plot is slightly far fetched but this doesn’t distract from what is an entertaining read.
“Head Spin”
(Paperback)
I’ve just finished reading this book with my online book club and all I can say is WOW!
It’s one hell of a read and there are so many twists and turns to the plot that constantly shock you and leave you wanting to know more. This was my first Chris McGeorge book but it most definitely won’t be my last. Such a great book and highly recommend
“Great character development and a sophisticated plot”
(Paperback)
Read this kindle edition as part of The Book Club Private Facebook December Readalong. One, part each week across a 3-week period.
Cara Lockhart was convicted of a crime she is adamant she didn't commit. Transferred to North Fern, a new style of Women's Prison facility, she's woken early one morning to find her cellmate and friend murdered, with Cara being the only suspect. As she works to clear her name Cara starts to learn more about the facility and the predicament she's in, finding links between the past and the present that neither she nor the reader could ever have imagined.
After a slow Part 1, which outlined the background to Cara's story, I was hoping that things would pick up …. and boy was my wish granted - Part 2 quickly gathered momentum with twists, turns and lots of suspense. I literally gasped with the ending here and couldn't wait to move on to Part 3 and wasn't entirely ready for the unexpected ending.
Great character development by the author with a sophisticated plot. My first read of Chris McGeorge's but it will definitely not be the last.
