“Inkheart”
(Paperback)
Absolutely spell-binding.This is the ultimate novel for book readers as it is all about the beauty of words, and how they are here to tell a tale of betrayal, villiany, heroism and magic. Despite being aimed at younger readers, Cornelia Funke has created such a novel that people form all ages will appreciate. The characters of Elinor and Dustfinger leave such an impact on you that you won't be able to wait to learn what happens in the sequel, 'Inkspell'. Truely amazing...
“A great start to a magical series”
(Paperback)
Not quite what I expected, Inkheart is still a great little read, or actually quite a great big read, as it's a bit of a brick. But it uses it's volume wisely, as you become so involved with the characters that you feel that at any moment, you may find yourself within it's pages. That as an idea in itself, is wonderful, as who can honestly say that they've never had the desire the be whisked into their favourite story. I know I have.
“4 stars”
(Paperback)
This was the book that had been on my tbr for the longest, I purchased it in 2009 and for some reason haven't picked it up until now. I've been trying to pick up books that have sat on my shelves for a while rather than just new releases and purchases. I regret not picking it up sooner, not only because it was an enjoyable read but also because I think I would have got more from it when I was younger, I think it would have meant more to me. The nest part for me was the dynamic between Meggie and Mo, it was so heartwarming and Cornelia Funke did a great job at making you feel the love that they have for each other, even when they disagree. This is a great story but what stops it being five stars for me was that I found the pacing a bit slow and it felt like it was a struggle to push through at times. But overall it is a great book full of fun and adventure and magic.

I thought the book was quite boring because the book goes into so much detail over everything wich can be a bad thing
